The concept behind this project is the creation of a ‘Railway Housing’ network across New York City. This is a housing unit that has the ability of moving through the entire network, a temporary living, leisure or business location. It is also possible to buy permanent units in the designated areas.

The main city-rail system is subdivided into a district rail system and location distributors with docking points. This system allows occupying the space only when it is required and gives the resident the freedom to move from one neighborhood to another. The different rooms within a unit are designed like rolling drawers, so when a unit arrives at a docking point they roll out and offer an interior space. The units also provide recreational areas for the community and when they are not occupied they close like library stacks.
